A gravestone is typically placed by first digging a hole in the ground to the appropriate depth and size for the gravestone. The gravestone is then carefully lowered into the hole and positioned upright. The hole is then filled in with dirt and the gravestone is secured in place with concrete or other stabilizing materials to ensure it remains upright and stable. Finally, the area around the gravestone is often landscaped or decorated with flowers or other items to create a peaceful and respectful memorial site. **
